We were commissioned by York Civic Trust to create a refreshed brand identity that honours heritage while embracing a contemporary civic voice.
Through our collaborative brand personality process, we helped define a clear set of values and principles rooted in storytelling, stewardship, and place. At the heart of the identity is a new interpretation of the Trust’s historic seal, inspired by the city’s 15th-century assay mark, now reimagined to express continuity, authority, and civic pride in a modern context.
The result is a unified brand system that reflects York Civic Trust’s evolving role while staying true to its roots
