Mat
Creative Director
Mat is the creative force behind LazenbyBrown, our founder and a key figure in the region's creative scene as a speaker and facilitator, a creative fellow of both the Northern School of Art and York St John University and a past Master of The Guild of Media Arts.
He's built a career helping organisations better express their true personality and difference through design and brand communication, he also enjoys collecting vinyl, kayaking and walking the studio dog, Steiff.
Mike
Digital Director
Mike is our Director of all things digital, Mike is one of those rare beasts who somehow understands both the language of the client, the designer and the developer.
A thoughtful and expert listener, he's a master translator and excels in making technology 'just work'.
He's also a killer bassist with a love of Percy Pigs.
Josh
Senior Graphic Designer
Josh has a degree in Visual Communication and a strong instinct for understanding a brief efficiently and delivering design projects that feels considered, distinctive, and effective. His ability to bring clarity and creative flair to complex challenges makes him a key part of the studio team.
His years of experience spans branding, design thinking, UX/UI design, and animation, and he enjoys projects that push thinking and help clients communicate with confidence.
Outside the design studio, Josh enjoys a good twisty country road on his motorcycle and maintains a loyal commitment to a Nana Noodle from the Shambles Market at lunchtime.
Sarah
Digital Manager
Sarah is the queen of lists and gantt charts, she keeps projects on course and helps us stay ahead of the curve when it comes to digital marketing.
She has a deep understanding of the platforms we use on a daily basis to help our clients market themselves online: Facebook, Google, Instagram and MailChimp.
Sarah loves hunting through charity shops, eating Japanese food and all things horror.
Eloise
Graphic Designer
Eloise is a graphic designer and a born plate-spinner, whilst always bringing a sharp focus to her work.
Her skills extend to graphic design, typography, web design and branding as well as being a gifted illustrator, she's always up for a challenge and has an infectiously positive attitude.
Eloise is an advisory board member for York Creatives, she loves her allotment and the Arctic Monkeys.
Andy
Digital Marketing Specialist
Andy has a huge amount of experience in the world of digital marketing and SEO. He brings this thinking to almost every digital project that comes through the studio to add value for our clients over the long term.
He is expertly placed to design user experiences, wireframes and customer journeys, and also spends a large amount of his time developing and executing digital marketing strategies.
A dedicated gym-goer and long-suffering Arsenal Fan. Andy is also a co-host of a food history podcast.
Tom
Web Developer
Tom comes to us after a stint at a human-computer interaction research group. His work life has been filled with cutting-edge projects from music-controlled live video editing systems to medical research apps to 3D-printed video game controllers.
Now he brings all of that creativity to bear on our clients' projects!
Tom enjoys exploring the great outdoors. He's an enthusiastic cook and a comedy nerd, and he really likes music you haven't heard of!
Viv
Finance Administrator
Viv is our resident wiz with the figures, dotting our 'i's and crossing our 't's'
She brings an eye for detail and oversight on the commercial aspect of all our projects.
Viv loves to travel, can’t resist the smell of a brand-new book, and has even been known to go skydiving when the mood strikes.
